On 24th September 2009, Richard Johnson, our Self-Advocacy Officer, received an Award for "Achievement Against the Odds in Learning and Employment", at Sandwell's Employment, Skills and Learning Awards event.
Richard won the Award for the progress he has made in paid employment over the last year. Richard has gone from being a shy individual who did not like to speak in groups, to a confident community leader, who has spoken to MPs in the House of Commons.
