You must have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with people with disabilities or other disadvantaged groups and be able to demonstrate experience working with community, voluntary or statutory organisations. Your role will be to develop projects and work with people to secure their rights, so excellent communication and project management skills are also a must.

We are looking for a part-time Development Officer who is both experienced, enthusiastic and committed.  You must have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with people with disabilities or other disadvantaged groups and be able to demonstrate experience working with community, voluntary or statutory organisations. Your role will be to develop projects and work with people to secure their rights, so excellent communication and project management skills are also a must.

We're currently looking for outstanding volunteers that can help us in the following roles:

Multi-Media Technician

Are you creative and good with IT?  The Multi-Media Technician will support the Multi-Media Development Officer with the design, update and maintenance of websites and electronic mailshots.  We would like a Volunteer to help produce visually compelling publicity which captures our positive, outcome driven work ethos in a creative and innovative way, using up-to-date software and technology.  This role is key to supporting our publicity, marketing and events.

Community Fundraising

This is a great opportunity to be involved in a wide range of new challenges, where you will be stretched to reach your highest capabilities.  We are seeking an enthusiastic fundraising volunteer, to establish links in our local community and lead fundraising projects, all the time raising the profile of Changing Our Llves. This role is an ideal for anyone looking to get valuable work experience in charity fundraising.   You will highlight current issues for people with disabilities.  Training, parliaments, mental health, audits, art, dance, even open mic nights, its all here. Were looking to appoint a Community Funding Officer to work alongside our Project Development Officers.

Event Co-ordinator

This is an ideal opportunity to be involved in the organisation of a prestigious annual event where both your communication and organisational skills will be at the fore. Spotlight is our annual celebration of the artistic talent of people with disabilities across the Black Country.  Leading up to this years final at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on 31st January 2014, there are regular open mic nights where musicians, singers, comedians and dancers perform for a place in the final.  As Event Co-ordinator, you role will be key to ensuring the Spotlight final is a success.  We require an excellent Event Co-ordinator to work alongside our team to deliver an event to remember.
